Adding Aditional Security to your Email Hosting

1. Start Microsoft Outlook . From the Tools menu, select Account Settings, Double Click on your email account to edit settings

 

2. Change the following mail server preferences to the following: (may already be correct)

Incoming mail server: mail.onsitetoyou.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.onsitetoyou.com

 

3. Click More Settings in the lower right hand corner, in the Internet E-mail Settings window:

·         Go to the Advanced tab:

o   Click the check box for “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” (It should automatically change the Incoming Server (POP3): from 110 to 995).

o   Change the Outgoing Server (SMPT): from 25 to 465.

o   In the drop down for “Use the following type of encrypted connection:” choose SSL

·         Click OK

 

4. Click Test Account Settings. Microsoft will send itself a message to test your incoming and outgoing capabilities. Once this is complete, click Next.

 

5. Click Finish.
